CHANGE TO POUGHKEEPSIE JOURNAL LETTERS PROCEDURE

Until now, the letters posted here have corresponded to the day they appeared in print. However, many letters have been appearing on the paper’s online Opinion Page several, sometime many, days before they appear in print.

For this reason, I’ve begun posting all letters gleaned from the Opinion Page whether they’re in the paper or not. Here’s how it will work:

• Letters that have not appeared in print yet will be dated two days in advance of the current day.

• Letters that have appeared in print will be dated the date they appear in print.

• On days when there are no letters, the “Poughkeepsie Journal Letters” entry will point to two days in advance.
